I get the feeling that my 2010 Toyota Sequoia doesn't run on all cylinders after it felt rough and my check engine light started flashing. It would only start up fine without the flashing light if I turn off the engine, wait for at least 3 minutes then turn it on again. I've got the spark plugs and wires replaced, but the problem still recurs from time to time. What could be the problem and fix?

probably a misfire bad enough to damage the catalytic converter, so it's not something to ignore. Could be a coil pack breaking down under load, or maybe an injector issue on one cylinder. I've been through something similar, and it took a proper scan with live data to really nail it down. Hoping it's not something deeper like valve trouble those are the fixes that really linger.

You already got the ignition coil recommendation, so I won't mention that. Instead I'll point you in the direction of the crank position sensor or a vacuum leak, both of which can cause these symtoms
