How to spot a real tow package on a used Sequoia

I'm eyeing a used Sequoia as a tow rig for a lightweight trailer, is there a reliable way to confirm it has the full factory tow package, cooling, gearing, electrical? Hitch alone feels misleading, does a "Tow" button guarantee it's legit?

THe button can be added afterwards, so it's not exactly a sure sign that it has the tow package. Your best bet is to check the vin online or at your local Toyota dealer.

Got it, thanks, I'll run the VIN at the dealer to be sure, I figured the button might not mean much without the upgraded cooling and wiring

I went through this with my '08 Sequoia when I bought it for towing. It had a hitch and "Tow" button, but no upgraded radiator or transmission cooler. I had to check the build sheet using the VIN, it turned out it didn't have the full tow package. Lesson learned: don't trust appearances. Always verify the axle ratio and cooling setup.

Thanks for sharing that, exactly the kind of thing I was worried about
