I'm helping my mom check out a '18 Sequoia and heard factory specs can be handy. She's curious about the original features but doesn't have the window sticker. Are there ways to find this info with just the license plate?

Yep, if you've got the license plate, you can usually backtrack the VIN using services like Carfax (though they might charge ya). Once you've got the VIN, head to toyota.com/owners, make a quick free account, and boom, original build info and sometimes service history too. Dealerships can also pull a build sheet if you give 'em the VIN, just call and ask nicely, maybe bribe 'em with donuts . Way easier than trying to guess if it came with heated wipers or not.

@EvergreenEvelle explained it already. You only need the VIN tho, then contact the dealership for the window stickers or specs. So you can get the complete deets.

Thanks for the help, everyone! Using the license plate to track the VIN with Carfax sounds like a good move even if it comes with a price tag. Once I've got the VIN, I'll check Toyota's owner site for build info and maybe swing by the dealership for a window sticker or specs. Donuts in hand, of course. 🍩
