2023 sequoia with a blown engine

i recently came acros something that could be the deal of a lifetime but i'm interested in getting your thoughts. there's a 2023 sequoia for sale with a blown engine at around 10 miles. the owner claims that it was serviced and checked regularly and he didn't drive it hard. this raises the question why didn't he took it to toyota under waranty? my second question is do you think it's a good buy because i i know a guy who knows a guy who'll do the rebuild the engine and combining the vehicle and rebulding it will be cheaper than getting a used one in running condition

That's just suspicious. Why didn't he choose take it is the real question? Like it's still a relatively new car, and what the heck 10 miles is too little. Do you mean 10k miles? For me it's not a good buy unless it costs like 75% off the previous price but you know, get it if it means cutting taxes buying a secondhand. But for the headache it may bring, I suggest nah considering it might have other stuff to repair if it had been stuck a long time.

Worried sick about the same thing as @nonononoway. Is it still under warranty? Did you check? And now, 3 weeks since your post, I wonder... What's the update on this? Did you get it? It's gonna be a fixer-upper if it's the engine that's blown really. Wish you could bring a mechanic upon checking the car. Probably a lot more issues.

Man, I'm a 2023 TRD Pro owner and I'm seeing a lot of red flags!

A blown engine at 10 miles? Not asking warranty to cover it? It makes me think there's more to the story!

Even with your network that will make everything look more affordable, it still sounds like a big gamble! Personally, I'd just walk away. I'd be super cautious if I were you. There's just too much risk for a vehicle that's practically brand new!
